As we all know, photography is 2D work, but in this project, the artist let them move and become 3D!
Osaka, Japan-based Nobuhiro Nakanishi’s mesmerizing body of work entitled Layered Drawings is truly breathtaking. He photographs a scene and repeat them over time, then laser prints each shot and mounts them onto acrylic.
“Change is captured in each frame, and once layered, they become sculpture installations. The overall effect shows movement and the subtle passage of time. ”—Caroline Williamson
It means artist only use photos one by one, but everyone photo is not same and then like an animation and looks fluency.
This series portrays changes that take place in everyday life, like the sun rising or ice cream melting. These ordinary events were photographed at regular intervals, printed on transparent film and assembled in sequence. Capturing the accumulation of time as a sculpture allows the viewer to experience the ephemerality of time.
We are all subject to the passing of time, yet each of us feels and perceives it in our own way. Time itself has no shape or boundary and cannot be fixed or grasped. When we look at the photographs in these sculptures, we attempt to fill in the gaps between the individual images. We draw from our physical experiences to fill in missing time and space, both ephemeral and vague. In this series, I attempt to depict time and space as sensations shared by both viewer and artist.
In my opinion, critical thinking is not only use in academic area, we also can use this skill in animation, critical thinking is no limit for any subject.

Eisenstein (1929) points out ‘Belief that all objects possess a natural life or vital force or that they are endowed with an indwelling spirit.’ And signifier and signified are closely bound together. It means we need to trace its origin, so we also need to ask where, what ,who and when. This is key point and very important in animation process, and that we can to create characters and stories about what and which background. Animation need to image, but Imagination is not to be divorced from the facts,it means a way of illuminating the facts.
According to Leslie (2002), Like many texts on modernism and critical theory, Hollywood Flatlands is structured as a nostalgic stories of utopian rise and disappointing fall. Because animation may include many individualism spiritual and to destroy levels of culture. For example, according to Gadassik (2010), Disney’s classic film “Dumbo” is not only a fairy tale, it use Dumbo's image to talk about individual efforts are co-opted by a circus that enslaves generation after generation. Artist use critical thinking to analyse social conditions and how to display in animation and also to show their aim.

For example,This painting completed in 1924, Der Krieg War, 1924 arose out of Dix’s own experiences of the horrors of war. War profoundly affected him as an individual and as an artist, and he took every opportunity, both during his active service and afterwards, to document his experiences.
Before war finished, most of his works all criticized Nazi ideals and to draw them and display.

The film Seven(1995) is my inspiration
Seven means The Seven Deadly Sins - Pride、Wrath、Sloth、Greed、Envy、Gluttony、Lust
Figure1: Film (sources:https://oddreaddotcom.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/seven_1995_3.jpg)
These seven deadly sins come from human nature,is root of them.
Also in China, a monster who we called 饕餮 is a mythical ferocious animal in Chinese fairy tale. This monster means glutton, he is one of Dragon's son, maybe fith.
According to history record,no one knows what is he like, but most people said he has no body, only have a head and a big mouth. He eat everything so he is a symbol of Greed.
BUT one thing we should know is that no one knows what exactly is he like.
Black Swan is one of my favourite films.Black Swan is an intensely divisive horror film directed by Darren Aronofsky. In fact. this film cannot make people feel comfortable when they watch it. For example, the dimension about some of shots, the obscure story and a quantity of hint. This film describes the lead character lost in her paranoid schizophrenia, because she stuck at the role cannot extricate herself, in addition, she has to bear huge pressure come from Ballet, her mother and other people who into competing with her. I want to explore ”Innocence and experience.”in this film
According to Diane(2002) Innocence and experience mean knowing and not knowing. In this film, in the beginning, the leading role Nina is a ballerina and over controlled by her mother who is a overbearing woman and used to be a ballerina, and her mother often to hurt Nina’s feelings, so she always repress herself and looks very frigid. One day, the direct want to choose a ballerina to perform Swan Lake, Nina is a technically experienced ballerina, but she cannot understand the role of Black Swan, and the direct says Nina shackles by herself, she need to release, or she cannot to win Lily who is her competitor, sometimes, if someone get stuck here it’s probably because they need validation from others. And then the story is beginning, Nina is in dilemma and when she after all of the sufferings, but she is gradual to head for nervous breakdown at the end. This is an evolutionary process, Nina successful at the end and become “Black Swan” but she lost herself in the bad sprit. In this essay, first it will talk about color and costume, and then discuss the director how to use light in the film, moreover, describe the relationship between the camera and the subjects. Finally, it will conclude the implications of this film and what have people learn.
Colour also is important in this film, pink, white, black, grey……
All of these are useful for my major, scene, shots, colour……

Marty Cooper who is one of my favorite animator, although he is not famous, but his ideal and handdraw are very interesting and perfect.
I often watch many works on his tumblr.
Marty Cooper creates brief animated shorts by blending traditional cel animation with photos he takes with his iPhone. By using transparent layers he’s able to create characters that interact with other objects in the background and foreground in a method similar to stop motion.
we called “An Ingenious Fusion of Traditional Cel Animation and Photography”
Of course, it’s seems like COMIC STRIPS
FLIP BOOKS
Flip books are essentially a primitive form of animation. It is a book with a series of pictures that vary gradually from one page to the next, so that when the pages are turned rapidly, the pictures appear to animate. It is called “persistence of vision”
At first, people used flip books to check is this animation could move fluency.
But for some sellers, they considered flip books as a toy or novelty for children. And flip books are not always separate books, but may appear as an added feature in ordinary books or magazines, often in the page corners.
Japanese architect Yusuke Oono creates this amazing 360° flipbook. It is a really amazing work and very beautiful!!
This flip book is a Fairy tale book “Snow white”
He laser cut the designs. When closed, the small booklet appears like an ordinary palm-sized book, but when you open it and flip the pages around, every direction reveals new details within the tiny carvings, creating an entirely 3-dimensional world.
In 2011 kinetic artists Mark Rosen and Wendy Marvel created a series of wonderful mechanical flipbooks based on the work of Eadweard Muybridge, he responsible for pioneering photographic studies of motion.
